Did not know what to expect when I purchased this item. Really liked the adjustability because I did not know what I needed to do to get the door latch to lock. After correcting the hinge issues, the front door closed and locked properly but was not making contact with the weather stripping so there was a lot of play forwards and backwards which kept the deadbolt from locking smoothly. I received this product and had an immediate smile on my face. The quality all around is superb with thick metal and a nice satin nickel finish. But what made this 5 stars is that the opening in its smallest position was smaller than the opening on my strike plate, so it immediately resolved the extra play issue. My door now makes contact with the weather stripping and the deadbolt locks effortlessly. Well done on all fronts!
