Any kickplate requiring I purchase drill tools to put holes in item or the door for the screws is just over the top for this non-DIY princess. I found this kickplate item that has adhesive on one side. Simply peeled off yellow backing, align and stick it on! 8 hrs later, new kickplate is still adhering to my door. Felt flimsy coming out of the little box it arrived in but once backing tape was removed, it felt more substantial. This has a smooth finish so wiping down if dirty should be easy. Edges and corners aren’t sharp (I didn’t get any cuts-yay!) But it is thin. However for the job of catching scuffs from shoes kicking door opened, it gets the job done. This independent princess is happy with my nickel styled kickplate! looks great against my door color too!
