Not only would they find the repetition of poking satisfying, they are unconciously developing concentration and independent work. These are intended to be used with our jumbo push pins and corkboard. These pinpoking templates follow the Montessori metal inset shapes and we added the dots to guide the child to poke on. The sheets offer a small range of difficulties by different distances between dots. You can start by offering the widest distance and gradually increase to the dense dots, and eventually the child can poke the shape out by herself! This exercise teaches the child the three finger grasp as well as applying just the right amount of pressure to poke the hole, not too much, and not too little, hence an essential pre-writing skill to attain!
