Atlas Salt Mill, Copper/Brass, 9″

Category:
This has been designed thoughtfully for salt. The interior is lined with plastic, and it’s a plastic (tough nylon, I bet) grinder as well. This isn’t being cheap! This is protecting the metals from the corrosive effects of salt. It amazes me how people leaving negative feedback don’t understand that using it with wet hands or leaving it in a puddle would cause problems! This is heavy, high quality copper and brass. I’m very pleased. I feel lucky to have gotten a great open box deal. It works and looks like new. The output is prolific as the diameter of the grinder is fairly large. For a wok full of food, usually half of one rotation is enough salt. The salt grind is preset and not adjustable (from what I can tell). For me, it works perfectly for grinding Himalayan pink rock salt down to granular size.TIP: if you seem to have received such a grinder without a handle, be sure to check the inside of the grinder. Traditionally, they’re shipped with the handle stowed inside.MORE INFO: the salt and pepper may look similar from the outside, if you got both of the same color and model. The pepper will have a visible screw on the vertical side which will not be present on the salt. The pepper will have a screw to adjust the grind fineness on the BOTTOM. The acorn nut on the top of either grinder is only to hold the handle on, nothing else. (This is self evident if you bother to look at it.)Thank you to those who left misguided negative reviews here, returned the grinder, and made it possible for me to get it for $20! Maybe I got the one with the “missing” handle, ha!
