I don’t have much space between my toilet and sink cabinet and, for years, have fought a round stainless steel trash can in that spot. It didn’t fit, the lid always hit the toilet when you opened it, you had to tip it then pull it out to get it out of the spot to change the liner and empty it, etc. This might be a little TMI, but not only did it not fit well, it was corroding due to splash from the toilet. The bleach in the water from tank cleaning tablets and urine itself (yes, urine splashes as you know but don’t want to admit) when you use the toilet rusted the can. It is corrosive. This plastic cleans very easily and will not corrode. The size and shape is perfect for what I need it for as well. It actually holds more trash than the round can did too, so I empty it less often. The oblong shape fits objects better like used toothbrushes, deodorant cans, etc. It was easy to put together, it is easier to load with those plastic bags from the grocery store for a liner (I know you use those too), and the lid works great. And the way it is designed, you don’t see the bag liner sticking out of the can. I wish I had gotten rid of the old one a long time ago. I might order another one for the other bathroom.
