1Pcs Stainless Steel with Wooden Handle Puer Puerh Tea Knife Needle Ice Pick Tea Cake Pick Tool for Breaking Prying Brick for Kitchen Bars Bartender
I’m a fan, but the blunted tip that came with it does more damage than good to high quality teas, so I ground a keen tip and polished it up to 3000 on my stones, now it’s brilliant! There is, however, a mild but noticeable chemical odor to it, presumably due to the adhesives they used to put it together.. a few minutes under vacuum should vaporize the volatiles so they don’t impart any flavor to the tea, but I’d imagine that most people aren’t as crazy about tea as I am… haha.. four stars, could be better, but for ten bucks it’s about as good as to be expected.. for the record, I only put a sharp TIP on it, not an edge; otherwise it would cut the leaves from the cake instead of prying them free without damaging them which is the whole point of a tea knife.. it’s a good buy, but I’d definitely recommend spending ten minutes with a whetstone and cleaning up the tip, and at least letting it breathe for a few days so that the glue vapors can disperse entirely before you use it on any expensive teas.. That and a VERY light touch of olive oil to prevent any corrosion is what I do to keep my tools in tip top shape. ~if you take good care of your tools, your tools will take good care of you..
